The purpose of the Parking Enforcement team is to make Ealing a safer borough, encourage active travel, reduce congestion and make parking fair for everyone.
Due to our successful delivery of the core environmental services, Greener Ealing Ltd was awarded the parking services contract by Ealing Council. The full transition of the 60-strong parking team took place on 1 April 2024. Our focus is to serve the community by promoting fair parking practices, to maximise parking availability for everyone, and to keep pedestrians, school children and their parents, cyclists and drivers safe.
We aim to minimise parking violations and the misuse of parking spaces. This includes pavement parking that can disrupt traffic flow, inconvenience others, or block emergency services and prevent public transport from travelling safely. We are also tasked with protecting the allocated parking spaces for residents and blue badge holders.

We always put the safety of our parking enforcement teams first, and guaranteeing their welfare and the accuracy of our operation is paramount. The introduction of Body Worn Video Cameras (BWVC), intelligent digital radios, and GPS Tracking systems [for real-time location monitoring) all enhance safety and can de-escalate potentially confrontational situations.
We have also introduced protective garments to safeguard the team from physical threat while carrying out their duties. These devices improve the transparency of our operation and hold both our parking enforcement teams and the public accountable for their actions. We have this technology to protect our workforce, ensure the accuracy of their work, and foster trust within the community.
