1999: Tony Blair was Prime Minister, the millennium bug hit the headlines, Britney Spears topped the charts and a young Justin Tanner secured a job with a waste company as a road sweeper. Twenty five years later, and several changes of provider, he continues to work hard and deliver exceptional customer service. Now a lorry driver, Justin describes Greener Ealing taking over the contract in 2020 as “the icing on the cake” and “the best company to work for.”
Reflecting on his career, Justin says that his job has given him more than just a salary. His colleagues have become friends and our workplace his second home. The flexibility of his role has meant he’s been able to pick his children up from school, collect his wife from work and be there to share family meals.
He’s not going anywhere, in case you’re wondering. Justin remains committed to Greener Ealing and his role. He’s too young to think about putting his feet up just yet!
