Ricky Martin’s Livin’ La Vida Loca was topping the singles chart. Europe had a new currency with the launch of the euro. Sven-Göran Eriksson became the England football manager. The year was 1999 and a young Dave Barnett transferred to Ealing Council (London Borough of Ealing) as a mobile mechanic.
Fast forward ten years and Dave takes the role of playground fitter, which he still holds today.
Twenty five years later, and several changes of provider, Dave continues to work hard for Ealing. His official title is Grounds Maintenance Driver Operative (Playground Repairs). Dave says he’s made lots of friends over the years, many of whom also still work for Greener Ealing Ltd, within the Grounds Maintenance Team and across the Greener Ealing family.
Congratulations Dave on this amazing milestone. Dave shares the Greener Ealing Ltd public service ethos, encapsulated in our core values – our 4Cs – Customer comes first, Collaborative, Caring and Committed.
Thank you for your commitment Dave, and here’s to the next 25!
