British Parking Awards 2026 - Greener Ealing is proud to be shortlisted for Parking In Action Award and Wellbeing Award

We are delighted to announce that Greener Ealing Ltd’s Parking Enforcement team is a finalist in two categories for the British Parking Awards 2026. This is the second year running that GEL has been shortlisted, with the team being recognised this year in the Parking in Action category as well as the Wellbeing Award.

The winners will be announced on 18th September at the annual ceremony. The independent competition, launched by Parking Review magazine in 2002, recognises and celebrates best practice, innovation and achievement in the design and management of public and private sector parking.

Recognition for the GEL Parking Enforcement Team

The Parking in Action Award recognises ‘targeted projects and programmes that seek to improve the parking experience of drivers or tackle antisocial and unauthorised parking behaviours’. GEL’s shortlisted entry, ‘Tackling persistent parking issues for a cleaner, safer Ealing’, is up against finalists including Enfield Council, Colchester City Council, NSL Manchester, Swansea Council and the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Being in the company of successful teams from all over the UK is a real achievement – Greener Ealing only took on Parking Enforcement for the borough in 2024.

It’s fantastic to see this recognition for the dedication and hard work of the GEL Parking Enforcement team. Especially the frontline workers making Ealing a safer borough, encouraging active travel, reducing congestion and making parking fair for everyone.

Putting staff wellbeing at the heart of everything we do

This year, GEL has also been shortlisted for the Wellbeing Award, alongside fellow finalists Agena Group and Dukes Bailiffs. The Wellbeing Award recognises work being done ‘to enhance the physical and mental health experiences of people in the parking sector’.

GEL’s shortlisted entry highlights the holistic approach we have taken to the health, safety and wellbeing of our 400+ frontline staff, embedding staff wellbeing into our training, systems and ethos across all aspects of operations. It celebrates the innovative wellbeing initiatives we have introduced – including free, confidential Health Check Stations, free Personal Testing Kits for prostate and bowel cancer, and a wide range of measures to support female employees going through menopause. We aim to create a positive, supportive and inclusive environment where employees can thrive, feeling valued and fulfilled in their roles.

A real achievement for GEL Parking Enforcement

Katarina Pohancenikova, Managing Director of Greener Ealing Ltd, said:
Since we took on the Parking Enforcement contract for the London Borough of Ealing in 2024, we have sought to constantly improve our service for the benefit of the residents and businesses of Ealing. We’re very proud to be shortlisted for the British Parking Awards for the second year running, which feels like a real achievement. Hopefully, the whole GEL Parking Enforcement team will have even more to celebrate on the 18th!
