We’re thrilled to announce that Greener Ealing Ltd’s Parking Enforcement team is a finalist in two categories for the British Parking Awards 2025. GEL is on the shortlist for The Front Line Award and the brand new Parking in Action category (in partnership with Ealing Council).
The winners of the coveted trophies will be revealed at a gala lunch in London on Friday 12 September 2025. Created and presented by Parking Review magazine, the British Parking Awards are an independent competition recognising the leading examples of car park management, enforcement, design and team work.
Recognition for the GEL Parking Enforcement Team
The Parking in Action category is a ‘breakout award’ intended to reflect the work of Front Line Teams. Its emphasis is on local authorities and enforcement contractors who are taking action to deliver safer streets, tackle Blue Badge fraud and remove nuisance vehicles and persistent evaders from our streets. Being recognised (in partnership with Ealing Council’s Parking Services team) for having played our part is fantastic. Being in the company of successful teams from all over the UK is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. Especially the frontline workers making Ealing a safer borough, encouraging active travel, reducing congestion and making parking fair for everyone.
The Front Line Award – Muhammad Azad
We are particularly delighted to celebrate the shortlisting of our brilliant colleague Muhammad Azad, Acting Senior Civil Enforcement Officer in the GEL Parking Enforcement team. The Front Line Award is dedicated to parking personnel who engage with drivers and the general public as a part of their day-to-day activities and recognises excellent customer service, communication skills and community engagement. Azad is an outstanding member of the team and an exemplary Civil Enforcement Officer. He has also done tremendous work, in partnership with community leaders and the Southall Green Safer Neighbourhood Team of the Metropolitan Police Service, to address challenges in the area around Southall Central Masjid as this mosque has a huge number of visitors with limited parking available. Well done Azad, you deserve this recognition.
Constantly improving our service
We are very proud of this recognition. Hopefully, Azad and the whole GEL Parking Enforcement team will have even more to celebrate on the 12th! We also look forward to next year’s awards, aiming not just for recognition but to constantly improve our service for the benefit of the residents and businesses of Ealing.
